iPhone compatibility
« on: December 30, 2021, 12:17:14 PM »
I received a Bushnell Spot On trail camera for Christmas. Purchased the SD card Bushnell recommends. The camera is taking pictures and I can download those to a laptop. Unfortunately I wanted to use this with my IPhone 13. Changed the settings on the phone that Bushnell recommended. Still nothing will download to the iPhone. I am probably going to return the camera. So does anyone have a trail camera that they have had success downloading pictures to an IPhone using a lightning SD card reader???

I have the Stealth Cam brand card reader with the lightning plug for Iphone. It works great with sd cards out of three different brands of cameras that I use. I downloaded the iBrary app for viewing and saving the pictures to my phone. I do recommend a card reader with a little pig tail cord to connect to your phone if you have an Otter Box or thicker case.

I've had success using a lightning SD card reader on my iPhone 8+, however, if the SD card is PACKED with pictures, like 16GB or more, it will crash and not show any photos on the card.

What I do is open up the "Files" app on the iPhone, it's a native/OEM app that you don't need to download unless you deleted it. After that app is open, then I'll plug in the SD card reader and wait a minute and I'll see the folder pop up and I can then drill down into it and download/view photos. It's slow if you just view them, but I have an older phone  :tung:
